Finalize your RJ45 Jack

If you soldered everything right and your card works...

Congratulations!

All of the electronics are done with.  Now we must mount the jack.  Below is a picture of my mounting (I let the epoxy sit and thusly the jack moved a little, it works fine, but it doesn't look as nice as yours will if you keep an eye on it).  Fortunately (for you) the epoxy method is SUPER strong and you will not have to worry about breaking the jack out.

I put those Molex connectors on it so that I could use it as a phone jack also (you would use pinouts 4 and 5 [polarity doesn't matter] from the RJ45 jack if you wanted this capability too).  Using your pliers, break out the plastic tab so it will fit as shown.  Epoxy that sucker!  Then, let it cure for twice as long as the shortest time listed (I used Loctite ten minute epoxy, so in 20 it's good and stiff, but isn't fully cured for 24 hours).

Now for cutting the plastic!
